In Memory of Christopher Laurie

C3,

Many of you know that last week Greg Laurie's son was tragically killed in a car accident. I never knew of Christopher Laurie before this; but I know one thing, he is with his Heavenly Father in Heaven now for all eternity where there are no tears or pain. He will be there to greet us when our time comes.

A memorial fund has been set up in honor of Christopher to help financially support his young pregnant wife and small daughter. Please click here if you feel led to contribute to that.

Though none of us can understand what the Laurie family is experiencing right now, Greg's hope in Jesus is real. You can meet this Jesus here at C3 or lots of other churches but take a look at this video and pray for their family. Pray that many people would meet Jesus because of this very sad and untimely loss.

Please please please, if you don't know Jesus hit the contact button on our website and leave me your phone number and email so you can meet your heavenly Father. Tomorrow is never guaranteed, and God gives us ONE life to choose Him. Make that commitment today if you haven't already.

What would God wear to church?

One of my best friends recently got married in a casual beach wedding; and I had the honor of being his best man. But this wasn't your everyday wedding. See, instead of tuxedos, us groomsmen wore Hawaiian shirts (un-tucked!), and flip-flops. On top of that, we all went barefoot during the wedding ceremony and put on our sunglasses at the end of it!

When you read that, what did you feel? Did a small part of you think "that's not how God designed weddings to be?" I find that weddings and church services reveal deep personal convictions of how something "sacred" should or shouldn't be handled.

While I still loved my traditional wedding with tuxedos and beautiful gowns, my friend's wedding was a great reminder that the event is about showing the love of the couple.

In the same way, church is about God's love. Previous generations have done an incredible job showing the power and majesty of God by wearing our "Sunday Best" for God; but this Generation longs for authenticity and at C3, that's what we offer you. Kyle is BACK and married...

Hello Wonderful C3 Friends,

I am so thankful to be back leading worship with you this weekend and I look forward to a great Sunday of ministry together. Please come ready to worship the Lord at 11 AM. It's going to be a really great weekend.

Also, I wanted to write and say Lisa and I are back, our wedding was really beautiful and our honeymoon was wonderful and relaxing. Here is one "treasure" from our wedding and a fun photo from us in Aruba on our honeymoon!

So I'll let my words be few, Jesus I am so in love with you

What a testimony in such a simplistic way. I wish we found time to gather as the C3 community or as a the whole church and cover miles of chapman showing everyone driving by our testimony of how Christ's love has changed us. As always grab a refreshing drink, maybe some tissues, and enjoy!

This Week @ C3

It was great seeing all of you at C3 again last week! Many were on vaca for the forth of July holiday weekend, but for those who were there, we had a great time.

This Sunday I look forward to being with you again and we will have a special visit from worship leader Laura Story. No, this gorgeous pic on the left is not me, it's Laura.

She wrote Chris Tomlin's hit song, "Indescribable" and she is amazing. She will be joining us live at the close of C3.

Asian Pacific Children's Fund

I have been blessed to have made a contact with the Asian Pacific Children's Fund (www.asianpacificchildrensfund.org) recently. Not only is their mission a great testimony, 100% of all money raised goes directly to the homes rather than the typical companies that take 90% of all money raised to pay their staff. Check out the video and be prepared to be moved! I will keep you posted on the amazing things they are doing and how Student Ministries will be working alongside of them with the goal of getting the entire church involved.

Marriage...

Hey Everyone,

It's Kyle... I'm getting married on Saturday which means I won't be with you for the next couple Sundays in church. While I will miss you, I am so excited to marry the woman of my dreams Lisa. I will look forward to seeing all of you when I'm back from my honeymoon.

Please come to C3 in the meantime we've got some really great guest worship leaders that I think you will love. They will be really great Sundays.
